We have had an awesome time here, but today it is time to leave and drive from Niagara Falls to Syracuse.
But not before one more amble along the amazing Falls.
We have woken up to cloudy skies and rain. I make the decision not to take a coat, as the rain has stopped. It will certainly brighten up, wouldn’t it? There should be no need for a coat.
This is a picture of me 20 minutes later. Turns out there was a need. A very nice lady from the Welcome Centre gives me a very fetching poncho to wear.
Before that, and on the walk down, the spray from the falls could be seen in the distance. Looking like smoke rising up into the all ready cloud congested skies, Suzanne was convinced a hotel was on fire.
A mini spending spree in a gift shop took care of the family at home. Then it was back along the river, and up that damn hill again to check out from the hotel.
We start the Road trip from Niagara Falls to Syracuse
Always a fan of a good Road Trip so off we go. We he aded back across Rainbow Bridge. Entering the USA for the second time in one holiday is a first for us. As there was another Hard Rock Cafe on the USA side, we made a quick stop for another t-shirt purchase.
Our destination tonight is Syracuse, so we decided to take the scenic route along Lake Ontario. We stopped at a couple of lakeside state parks that were eerily deserted. Although at least the second one has a play park for Max to enjoy.
Our hotel in Syracuse is near the site of the fayre which we were told is only on for 12 days a year!! We weren’t there for the fayre so not bothered but 12 days doesn’t seem long!
We had dinner in Danielle’s steak restaurant, Max slept for all of it. The family stayed opposite is with 2 young kids.
