USA 2015 – 10th Sept – Road Tripping from Syracuse to Scranton

The day starts with breakfast, as most days do. This was a little different for Suzanne.

At breakfast, she went to get her cereal, and on the way back nearly gave up her wonderful life with us for a life with a USA biker.

She claims she almost sat at the wrong table by accident but I’m not so sure.

To break up the drive, we decided to stop at a Vinyard. Six Mile Creek Vinyard was kind of on the way, although there was about a 25-minute detour involved.

It would mean we are going to spend 3 hours on the road, but with a decent stop at the Vinyard, that would be ok.

Road Tripping from Syracuse to Scranton – Stopping at Six River Creek Winery

I put the wrong address in the winery as our first stop turned out to be on a residential road with not a winery in sight. that would have been odd knocking on the door of a family home asking for wine!

We eventually arrived, and while we didn’t do a tour or anything like that, we had a good look around the shop. Suzanne enjoyed a sample or two. We managed to get a bite to eat, and then back on the road.

There wasn’t much for us to see or do around our hotel, so we spent the evening just hanging out in the restaurant and the bar, watching the world go by.

Max entertained himself and spent all night waving at the ladies in the bar. He didn’t even get told off. It’s a different story if do it!

We have to put a huge shout out to one of the best characters we met on our travels. Kevin the waiter. He would almost certainly become a mute if his arms were chopped off. Every 10-word sentence was accompanied by 20 arm movements.

He always seemed to run everywhere too, but a thoroughly likeable server. We retired to bed, as tomorrow we would be heading to New York!
