Started with breakfast, as you normally do, then jumped into the car to head off to Blandford, then Wimborne, then into Bournemouth.
Blandford Forum was a typical little Dorset village. Quaint high street, a church, a river and (we think) one supermarket!!
Walked around the town, popped to the river, resisted the supermarket, back in the car within the hour, which explains how small the town is, and how freezing cold it was!! We are sure there was much more to offer, but time and weather prevented us from exploring further, although we did stop at the brewery on the way out!!
Next stop was Wimborne, a bigger town, but just as quaint. Again a lovely village. We have a coffee in the Kings Head, and got told off for leaving a door open in the church that we didn’t even open!! It was cold mind.
We then headed into Bournemouth, a quick look round the shops. We are planning a big holiday in September, a USA road trip, money permitting. Desparate to do Route 66. We will see.
