WPC: Against the Odds – One World Observatory

WPC: Against the Odds – One World Observatory

For this week’s Photo Challenge  here is my effort WPC: Against the Odds – One World Observatory.

The brief:

This week, share a photo that says “against the odds.” Maybe it’s a photo of an unlikely occurrence. Maybe it’s the photo itself that goes against the odds — a shot you never thought you’d get. Maybe it’s a photo of something you’re not sure you’ll be able to do.

I have chosen a few photos from One World Observatory. Built when the Twin Towers of the World Trade Centre came down in 2011.

Considering the destruction and the affect it had on thousands of lives, the area where they Towers once stood is a remarkable recovery. Truly Against the Odds.

This is a beautiful building. We decided to go to the top the day before, so we purchased tickets in advance, meaning we could skip any queue. Once at the top, the views were amazing, you really could see for miles, and felt like you were on top of the world!

Due to the height, (and the wind!!), all views are from inside, but considering how windy it gets, that may not be a bad thing!

Here are a couple more photos from our trip to the top, shot through glass. Well worth a visit.
